Dr. von Feigenblatt presented a paper about public policy and the securitization of the COVID-19 Pandemic at an important academic conference. The Conference was hosted by Chulalongkorn University in Thailand.
Abstract: The present exploratory paper tackles some of the challenges presented by the COVID-19 Pandemic from a public policy and foreign policy perspective. COVID-19 has resulted in unprecedented public policy challenges and has brought to the fore disciplinary cleavages in terms of how to frame the crisis and more importantly in terms of how to rise to the challenge. The paper concludes that a more holistic approach is necessary which takes a more macro level approach and which borrows from the disciplinary tools kits of sociology, anthropology, political science, and public health.
