Dr. Patricia Ayala de Coronel, Collar Member of the House of Feigenblatt, will be one of the panelists at the Third House of Feigenblatt Magistral Session of the National Assembly of Ecuador. Dr. Ayala de Coronel will participate in the panel dealing with the nexus between artificial intelligence and governance.

Bio:

Dr. Patricia Ayala de Coronel, began her career in education at the Ana Paredes de Alfaro Municipal School, where she worked for 10 years. Subsequently, she was rector of the American School of Guayaquil for more than two decades and taught at Brookdale Community College, Blue Hill College and the Catholic University of Santiago de Guayaquil. She has a solid academic background: PhD in Education Sciences with a major in Educational Research and Planning, Master's Degree in Family Educational Counseling, Master's Degree in Human Talent Management and Bachelor's Degree in English Language and Linguistics. In addition, she was the first president of CORPEDUCAR and currently leads the "Teaching to Learn" Foundation (FUNEAP). Her work has been widely recognized with national and international distinctions such as the "Educational Merit" (2002), "To the Guayaquil Woman" (2013), Illustrious Citizen of Guayas (2015), the "Person of the Year Awards 2017", Honorary Doctorate in Education (2019), the Antonio Nariño Medal in Bogotá (2022), the "Rosalía Arteaga Serrano" medal (2024). More recently, she received the Livery Collar of the House of Feigenblatt in Madrid and the Matilde Hidalgo de Procel decoration for educational merit from the National Assembly of Ecuador (2024). Since 2015 she has served as rector of the Pan American Lyceum, where she has promoted bilingualism, pedagogical innovation and the implementation of international quality systems such as ISO, EFQM and also the IB Curriculum.
